Evaluation - Jordan McQueen's Fan Guide

Evaluation - Metallica fan guide - Liam Hind

Fit for purpose
The overall feel of the product is good as it looks nice and works well except from a few minor broken links I feel that the intention of the product is executed successfully and the information on the pages is complete and easy to navigate minus any information on were the buttons are and what they do I would have to say that in its current state is not fit for purpose but it is very close and only needs a few minor tweaks to be a very good fan guide.you have a clear understanding of what it is showing you and you are able to go through the pages with ease so i believe that this guide is done very well.

Are the media elements appropriate
The media used in this fan guide is appropriate because the media used is all based on the subject matter of the guide and all of the images used in this guide are high quality and are placed nicely into the guide. there are images such as flames in this guide and other images that make you think of Metallica i believe that this makes the media in the guide appropriate.

Does it work without errors
This product does work well but I cannot say it works without errors as navigation at times can be hard to follow and there are a few links that at this moment in time does not work.

Is it professional
This is a very nice and clean looking guide and I can say that it looks professional as the fonts used are consistent the images used are all of high quality the format of the page is similar through out.the product has a consistent color scheme and has all of the buttons in the same place on each slide and all of them are annotated so you are able to navigate the guide easily.

5 amendments

1- There are a few links that could do with having a little more work on them.
2- Some form of index or key would be useful.
3- Maybe there could be more animations added as there is only one at the start of the guide.
4- Make the text bigger on the band page
5- Videos missing.

P3

For my guide i was using the search engine Google to help me find my images the first image i used was a steam logo and i used this on my front page to help show the product my guide was on i was able to get this image from http://www.gamespot.com/articles/current-steam-users-not-console-owners-are-steam-machines-target-audience/1100-6416969/
this is a article that is focused on the steam machine and it uses the image in the same way that i choose to use it as they have it to show the brand as they talk about steam and there current projects

then next images i used i got so they could be buttons there are two         buttons and one is the steam logo and this is my home button and
the other is a play button and this is to play the audio files that are on      each page i got the steam button at
